Yahoo Answers Backlinking Policy Changes
Posted on August 17th, 2009 No commentsOn 1st July Yahoo Answers changed the way that people can link back to their own site when answering questions.
Yahoo Answers Update: Level 1 URLs
You now have to be a LEVEL 2 contributor in order for your links to be active. Any Level 1 contributor who posts a URL in their answer will not have an active link.
I think this is a good change as it gives you a chance to build up your account with some legitimate answers before you can start throwing in links.
So don’t see this as a negative thing – instead, go in and post some truly helpful answers without any links. Over time your trust will increase and you can start dropping links into your answers when you are a Level 2 contributor.
