• Wordpress Plugins for Affiliate Marketing

These are all free plugins (besides one that I recently added to the list) that I use on my Wordpress sites, including this one. Thought I would share with you as I often get asked which plugins I recommend.

Akismet – Obviously – combat spam comments.

All In One SEO Pack – enough has been said about this elsewhere. Just get it and use it!

    Wordpress Mobile Pack
If you manage your blog from a mobile device then this plugin is a must have. It also makes your blog more user friendly for mobile visitors.
**Update: I’ve recently disabled this plugin for the time being as it’s been causing some errors with the latest version of Wordpress.

    Global Translator
Easily translate your site into many languages, displaying small flags for visitors to click and choose. This is a great way to get extra traffic without resorting to professional translation.

Contact Form 7 – the easiest way to add a contact form to your site. Use this with the Really Simple Catpcha Plugin to avoid spam comments and script kiddies.

    MaxBlogPress Optin Form Adder
This is a plugin I just started using recently. It is easy enough to add a plain optin form to your blog, but making it look attractive and eye catching is another matter.
If you don’t want to get custom graphics made then this plugin is the next best thing. I’ve used it in my optin form on this blog, you can see the difference it makes. Highly recommended!

    Ultimate Google Analytics
The easiest and simplest GA plugin around. Enable it, insert your Google Analytics website code and you’re done. It will track everything for you.

    Really Simple Sitemap
Create a sitemap for your blog. This is not to be confused with an XML sitemap – this plugin instead lists all of your blog posts and pages that you can list on a Sitemap page. Great for easy reference for visitors and search engine spiders.

    RSS Footer
Insert text and/or links at the end of the RSS feed. Nice way to link back to your site or insert affiliate links!

    Simple Google Sitemap
I recently switched to this plugin from the more complicated and buggy Google XML Sitemaps plugin.
This is a must have – don’t forget to add your sitemap file to Google Webmaster Tools.

    Subscribe to Comments
This plugin allows commenters on your blog to check a box before commenting and get e-mail notification of further comments. It is a great way to make your blog “sticky” to users as they will often come back to reply to comments.

    Wp DB Backup
Don’t risk losing your stuff – back it up easily with this plugin. You can choose to download the backups, or have them sent automatically to your email at a predetermined time interval (eg daily, weekly, monthly etc).

    Exclude Pages
You don’t always want your Pages showing in the menus or navigation, so use this plugin to easily mark which pages to exclude from menus.

    Privacy Policy
Creates a compliant privacy policy page – important in the eyes of some search engines.

    Statcounter Wordpress Plugin
Links your statcounter account to your Wordpress blog so you can track detailed statistics.

    TAC Theme Authenticity Checker
More and more free Wordpress themes are being made with hidden and sometimes invasive encrypted code in the php files.
This plugin can detect these files and let you know whether the code is encrypted. Encrypted code means that it’s harder to remove any links but more importantly, it can hide potentially malicious code.

    NEW ADDITION
    WP Robot
This is an amazing plugin that can automatically create and schedule posts for you that include your affiliate link from Amazon, Ebay and Clickbank, plus content rich posts from Yahoo Answers and Article Dashboard. Not a free plugin but highly recommended if you are serious about creating content rich blogs with minimal effort.

I use these plugins on most of my niche blogs. I may have missed a couple here but this is the main bunch. I hope you have found this helpful :)

    • Hi, one more plugin worth considering is WpSplitTester which we just launched. This plugin is designed to make it easy to split test affiliate adverts on a Wordpress-based site to offer only the adverts and programs which convert highest fro you meaning more affiliate commissions from the same traffic.

    • Almost everyone that makesmoney on the internet (even the millionaires) do so through affiliate marketing. Being successful in affiliate marketing involves knowing the formula that makes other affiliate marketers successful. For example, autoblogging. Autoblogging has been one of the least well-known forms of making money online for quite some time… mainly because it’s quite difficult to make a good auto-blog. Yet, when done right, it can provide you with a lifetime of passive income with the only real work required being the setting up process. Video Marketing, and several other marketing strategies are all designed to drive traffic to your site, can be incorporated steadily in order to raise the position your site appears in the search engine results page when any one searches for a term related to your site. And yet, even this can be totally automated.
