Which Niche Marketing Tools Do You Really Need?
Posted on August 29th, 2009 No commentsNiche marketing tools can cover a range of things such as:
- Keyword research tools
- Blog tools and plugins
- Design tools
- SEO tools
There are plenty more, in fact there are thousands and more are being released everyday. All of this of course adds to the problem of information overload or in this case, tool overload.
What do you REALLY need to use to succeed in niche marketing?
You’ll be delighted to know that my answer to that is “not much”.
In fact there are very very few tools that I use myself, and I’m making a nice living online
Here is a quick rundown of the niche marketing tools that I use. Of course you don’t even need to use these ones, but they are certainly helpful.
1. WordPress
Can’t live without this – the engine behind the websites.2. Statcounter (free)
A lovely free stats package that compliments AWstats in your hosting.3. Google Webmaster Tools (free)
Yes another freebie, this is a must have for any webmaster. Track your websites, add sitemaps etc etc. You log into this with your Google account.4. Firepow
This isn’t free but considering its one of the very few things that I actually pay for, I don’t notice the cost. And the time saved is enormous – your social bookmarking is done in a flash, you benefit from a blog network, you can easily post automated content etc etc – it’s an all in one blog management tool. You can certainly live without it but if you like to work fast and save time then I recommend Firepow.5. Aweber
Again, not a free tool but the yearly cost is pretty low considering what you can get out of it. Once you start building a list start using Aweber or GetResponse.6. Prosper 202
This is piece of software that is useful for PPC tracking. You probably won’t need to look at this if you are just starting out.And that is about it for me. There are a few websites and free tools that I use online occasionally like Yahoo Site Explorer etc, but for the most part these are the tools that drive my work. All in all I spend a very small amount of money each year on these but they pay off thousands of times over again.
