    When you think of niche marketing what is the first thing that pops into your head?

    For me it is the idea of marketing to a group of people who have a specific interest, need or desire.

    Compare this to marketing something to a very wide, less targeted audience and you can already see the benefits.

    Obviously it is generally easier to make money online when you are targeting a specific audience who you already KNOW has an interest or need in what you are selling or promoting. This is a given.

    But that doesn’t mean it’s a piece of cake: you still have to know how to push their buttons and make them push your buy button!

    Let’s look at the major benefits of niche marketing on the internet:

    1. Your audience is semi-warmed up for what you are offering – you will know this from your market research.

    2. You will have a good idea of the types of products they are interested in and over time you’ll discover new insights that will truly immerse you in the niche and their needs and wants.

    3. There are unlimited numbers of niche markets – hundreds of thousands. You will never run out of ideas.

    The money to be made in niche marketing is nothing short of staggering.

    You can put all your energies into one main broad niche, eg weight loss, and from there drill down to hundreds and hundreds of smaller, more specific markets. This can keep you busy (and profitable) for a very long time to come.
