Who Says Article Marketing Doesn’t Work?
Posted on February 28th, 2010 5 commentsView any internet marketing forum and you’ll no doubt find a new post every week stating that article marketing doesn’t work. Who writes these posts? Usually people who have submitted a couple of articles, didn’t make $1000 from them overnight, and then gave up and decided that article marketing “doesn’t work”. Read the rest of this entry »

Is It Good to Target 1 Keyword Per Niche Site?
Posted on February 23rd, 2010 6 commentsI recently received an email from a blog reader and thought I’d expand my response into a blog post.
I hope he doesn’t mind me sharing part of his email here
"With google sniper, I am mainly focusing around 1 keyword per site. But I am curious what you do for your niche sites. I like google sniper, but I am thinking I could expand these sites to include multiple keywords, but I haven’t tried yet. Read the rest of this entry »

Not a Resolution, a 2010 Goal – Work Less Hours
Posted on December 26th, 2009 7 commentsI admit, I don’t like the concept of new years resolutions. I figure, why does someone have to wait until January 1 to say they’ll start a new project, start exercising, stop eating junk food and so on. I just don’t get it! To me, it’s a sign of weakness.
The best time to start something new was yesterday, but if that didn’t happen, then start today. As you know, most people don’t carry through on their new years resolutions for long anyway! Read the rest of this entry »

Affiliates: Make a Goal Right Now! My Journey to $500/day
Posted on December 18th, 2009 17 commentsNote: This post was originally published in July 2009. I’ve just inserted a few updates.
Not too long ago I made a post at the Warrior Forum about goals:

It also had the words “$500 per day by December 31 2009″Well that goal was reached about 6 months in advance! Read the rest of this entry »

Niche Blogging Institute Review
Posted on November 17th, 2009 8 commentsI don’t talk about IM products much, simply because most of them are crap. But when Andrew Hansen releases something, I take notice.
Andrew has given me a sneak preview of NBI before its release to the public in a couple of days time. I have to say, I am impressed (and I don’t say things like that unless I REALLY am impressed). I can tell a whole lot of time and effort has gone into this. Read the rest of this entry »

WP installed via Fantastico is Blocking Your Site from Search Engines
Posted on October 26th, 2009 6 commentsUpdate: this is no longer happening, and most hosts have replaced Fantastico with Softaculous.
This is a quick warning to double check your Privacy settings in WordPress.
It seems that WordPress 2.8 (and now the latest 2.9.2) versions are defaulting the privacy setting to “I would like to block search engines, but allow normal visitors” when installed via Fantastico in cPanel.
This means that your robots.txt file is set to block search engine spiders from crawling your site. This is obviously not ideal and it baffles me why WP have chosen to now make this the default setting! Read the rest of this entry »

My Faith Renewed in Amazon Associates
Posted on October 18th, 2009 No commentsHow many newbie affiliates sign up to the Amazon affiliate program as their first? I think it was probably the first program I signed up with along with Commission Junction back in the day.
But there is one problem with Associates: the commission rates are relatively low compared with other merchants.
Another complaint people make is that because Amazon only have a 24 hour cookie, you are less likely to make a sale, especially if the person decides not to buy right now. Read the rest of this entry »
