How to Increase Your Affiliate Sales Fast and Easily

If you’ve got some traffic coming to your affiliate sites but conversions are low, then you need to seriously look at why this is happening.

Running a niche affiliate site means that you have on goal: to get the reader to click through to the merchant page.

Here are some quick tips that I’ve discovered that have helped to increase my affiliate sales. Try them out and see if they work for you – you should be constantly testing and tracking to gather data and rate any changes such as these.

Tip #1 – Big Red Buttons
Even though you aren’t selling your own product that doesn’t mean that you can’t use shiny “buy now” buttons.
There are PLR graphic packages out there that contain semi-decent button graphics, but ultimately you should have some custom ones made by a graphic designer who can suit them to your site.

A nice noticeable “Download Now”, “Learn More”, “Click here” or other action button can really gain attention and increase clickthroughs.

Tip #2 – Every Article is a Landing Page
You might post a lot of content that is there just to get search engine traffic, without much thought of using each and every article as a means to get a sale or lead. But EVERY page on your site should be treated as an individual landing page. Not everyone will see your home page, therefore your other pages MUST presell as well. Put time and effort into all pages and all articles.

Tip #3 – Don’t Rely on Banners
Banner blindness is rife these days, even people who don’t spend a lot of time online now avoid clicking banners.
So you can not solely count on them for clickthroughs and sales. Instead, use text links throughout your content.

Link to merchant pages in your articles and at the end of your articles as well. You can also stick some of those nice graphic buttons from tip #1 into and at the end of your content.
