Places like CJ contain some huge merchants that sell very mainstream products. These can be profitable, but the competition can be overwhelming for someone just starting out.

There are many smaller in-house affiliate companies that you can work with. Many sell very niche oriented products and the conversion rate can be astounding – so don’t look past the smaller, private affiliate merchants because if you do you’re leaving money on the table!
