• Free WordPress Themes vs Premium Themes

    The beauty of WordPress is that it’s free and that there’s no shortage of great looking freebie WP themes to choose from. Thousands in fact. Often far too many and this can make the choice of which theme to use more difficult than you want it to be.

    From an affiliate marketing perspective, many people put site look and design as a lower priority aspect of their strategy. But now, more than ever, the way your site looks should be a top priority.

    Many many affiliate marketing, Adsense and other “make money online” courses and guides tell you that design doesn’t matter. They suggest using very basic themes or layouts and advise that an ‘ugly’ website will do just as well as a beautiful one. But is it true anymore?

    5 months since my last post here? Time flies. To anyone who might be still around and reading this blog, I thank you!

    What happened with my site flipping plans? Panda happened! Not that it’s the end of the world as some so like to moan about. Yes, some quality sites were punished but overall, if nothing else, I think it’s pushing all of us to be bigger and better bloggers, affiliate marketers, SEO’s, webmasters, link builders and whatever else your forte and interests are.   • Unique Content Becoming More Important for Affiliates

    With many murmerings over the past few weeks about potential Google algorithm changes to attempt to combat some of the spam and scraper sites in the SERPs, Matt Cutts has announced that a change has indeed been implemented. While no one is naive enough to think this will cure the web of spam (impossible), it does mean that we should be looking at this as a bit of a wake up call that the time of posting crappy, low quality, rewritten or duplicated material and expecting great results is slowly coming to an end.   • Website Flipping at Flippa
