Affiliates: Make a Goal Right Now! My Journey to $500/day
Posted on December 18th, 2009 13 commentsNote: This post was originally published in July 2009. I’ve just inserted a few updates.
Not too long ago I made a post at the Warrior Forum about goals:
In the post I talked about how I created a desktop background that had photos of places I wanted to go and a house I wanted to buy.
It also had the words “$500 per day by December 31 2009″Well that goal was reached about 6 months in advance! Read the rest of this article »

My Faith Renewed in Amazon Associates
Posted on October 18th, 2009 No commentsHow many newbie affiliates sign up to the Amazon affiliate program as their first? I think it was probably the first program I signed up with along with Commission Junction back in the day.
But there is one problem with Associates: the commission rates are relatively low compared with other merchants.

How Much Affiliate Commission Is Good?
Posted on August 24th, 2009 1 commentWhen you are searching for products or programs to promote it is so easy to go for the ones with the highest commission. After all, they will bring you the most money, right? Well, that is not always the case.
I have a bit of a rule that I loosely go by: the higher the affiliate commission on something, the harder it will be to convert into a sale or lead. This is not always the case but it’s something to keep in mind when you’re browsing those offers.

Is the Affiliate Market Too Saturated?
Posted on August 12th, 2009 No commentsThere are so many affiliate marketing forums, and many of them have tens of thousands of users. This all adds up to many, many affiliate marketers all promoting products, building blogs and flooding the internet with content.
Does this mean that the affiliate market is saturated?
That is certainly a common concern for people who are relatively new to the industry.Read the rest of this article »

Having a Real Affiliate Strategy is the Difference Between Failure and Success
Posted on August 4th, 2009 1 commentDo you have an affiliate strategy in place? Or are you spinning your wheels without a plan?
The joy of working from home (either part time or full time) is that YOU dictate what you do and how you do it. But that freedom lands many people in trouble.
Without some sort of basic plan (at the very least), you might end up being very unproductive. Sure, some people can work fine just by sitting down at the computer and deciding there and then what they will work on. But most people are not so lucky.

Why It’s Vital to Communicate With Your Affiliate Manager
Posted on July 26th, 2009 No commentsWhen you work with CPA company’s you usually get assigned an account manager, or affiliate manager.
This is your “go to” person who should be there to answer any questions you have via email, chat or phone – even in person if you live close by. Unfortunately you rarely have such a close contact with the large affiliate networks, but it is a great perk of CPA.
Keeping close communication with your affiliate manager is highly important for many reasons, including:

Should You Become an Adult Affiliate?
Posted on July 22nd, 2009 No commentsBecoming an adult affiliate webmaster is something that might have crossed your mind at one point.
After all there is massive money to be made in the adult niche. But it’s one of the few that I stay away from for the most part.
Well, there’s adult and there’s adult – and there is a marked difference between the mild stuff and the not so mild (which I’ll leave to your imagination).

Why You Shouldn’t Trust Most Internet Marketing “Experts”
Posted on July 19th, 2009 1 commentGuru bashing is a popular online sport these days. It has become the in thing to talk about how people selling products in the IM niche are just churning out rubbish and that you should avoid everything at all costs.
So when I decided to write a post about internet marketing experts I didn’t want to sound like I was rehashing these sentiments without actually being sincere about it. On many occasions the very people telling you not to buy internet marketing products are the ones selling stuff themself – obviously they want you to buy theirs so will go to great lengths to discredit all others that they consider to be a competitor.
