Affiliates: Make a Goal Right Now! My Journey to $500/day

Not too long ago I made a post at the Warrior Forum about goals:
In the post I talked about how I created a desktop background that had photos of places I wanted to go and a house I wanted to buy.
It also had the words “$500 per day by December 31 2009″Well that goal was reached about 6 months in advance!
I’ve now changed the background to say “$1000 per day by December 31 2009″
Edit: I’m not going to hit that, perhaps in 2010!The point is that making yourself look at those words on a daily basis really does something to your mind. I don’t think $500 per day is a lot of money anymore. In fact I’m quite disappointed if I earn less than that (that’s bad i know!).
Here is a screenshot I’ve taken just now, its just before midday here and this is just one of the merchants I work with:
I don’t usually post screenshots like this and I often berate “gurus” when they do – but if anything I hope it motivates you.
It’s only halfway through the day here and I expect these earnings to continue rising as they normally do, then there are the other merchants I also work with. In the short time since I’ve posted that thread at Warrior Forum, I’ve well passed the $500/day average mark.If I can do it, so can you – anyone can.
Just have a goal and do at least ONE thing every single day to move towards that goal.
Update December 2009 – Things have slowed down a bit coming to the end of the year. I put this down to my main niches not being “holiday friendly” – but I fully expect it to pick up in January and throughout 2010.
Just thought I would keep this updated as I’ve had emails asking me of my progress. Thanks all for the kind words!Related Posts:

I saw your post at warrior forum Rebecca and felt very motivated from it. i am still waiting to hit $100 per day consistently. but i feel i can reach that goal – and more!!

Thanks Jean, believe me the first $100 is always the hardest! Once you get to that it tends to become easier to just continue doing what works.

Hi Rebecca, saw your post on WF a while back & just noticed your blog in your sig so thought I’d visit. Well done by the way! Was just wondering if you wouldn’t mind telling us how you promote CPA products? I’m a CPA newbie & I’m dabbling a bit with PPC, SEO etc but haven’t reached $500 a day yet (hopefully by Dec 2009 though). Anyway, congratulations on your success. J

There are many ways I promote CPA offers – nothing unusual though. Article marketing, Web 2.0 etc etc and a bit of PPC at times.

Absolutely!
The way I see it is the visualization on a daily basis taps into your unconscious mind making it ‘real’ every time you see it.
I’ve definitely used images and words to help me attain the goals I desire. And you said it best on the last part:
“Just have a goal and do at least ONE thing every single day to move towards that goal.”

Well we’re pretty far into December now, how’s ur goal coming along?

It’s going well, thanks for asking!
I have a bunch of new sites up that I’m going to continue working on into 2010. As yet they are not receiving a lot of traffic but one thing I have noticed is my Amazon earnings continue to increase. Most of it is coming from the plugin in WP-Robot – i.e automated blog posts with a link to an Amazon product with my affiliate link.
I do however edit many of these posts and add my own unique content and that certainly helps a lot.

Where do you make the majority of your income? Is it with CPA, Clickbank type products, your own products, Amazon, individual affiliate products, etc?

All of the above except my own products, and I hardly use Clickbank anymore. CPA and other affiliate programs are my main thing, followed by Amazon.
