Affiliate Blogging – Anyone Can Do It
Posted on August 21st, 2009 1 commentIf there’s one aspect of affiliate blogging that can rarely apply to other professions, it is that ANYONE can do it.
You can be old, young, wealthy, poor, educated or not, living in New York or Nairobi – it doesn’t matter. We all have the potential to make a success of this: it all comes down to you. No excuses.
There is just one thing you need: determination!
I have lost count of the number of times I read excuses from people who haven’t made the money they want in affiliate marketing – they can’t afford advertising, they don’t like writing, they don’t know HTML or PHP, they are hopeless at web design. Guess what: none of that matters!
For one, you don’t need to buy advertising to make money online. You don’t have to like writing, but you can force yourself to do it (or outsource it cheaply), you certainly don’t need to know HTML, PHP or any other language and web design, well let’s just say that I’m probably the most uncoordinated person in the world when it comes to doing anything remotely creative with graphics and design – again, not necessary!
Wordpress makes it easy to get websites online with very little technical knowledge. So these excuses go out the window.
What is your excuse? Do you have one?
If you find yourself making mental excuses for not doing something, then stop today. Everytime you hear a negative thought in your head, banish it. Instead use that mental energy to actually DO SOMETHING!
Well this is a little motivation for you. I am not one to go deeply into personal development, but your mindset certainly will play a massive part in whether or not you will be successful at affiliate blogging.

Affiliate blogging is definitely the best way to get started online with minimal overhead costs. I’ve got a couple blogs set up myself, promoting Clickbank affiliate products.
However, just like other forms of affiliate marketing and internet marketing in general, too few people realise that without a solid marketing background, they’re wasting precious hours writing articles for nothing, since they’re targeting a niche that’s too competitive or, even worse, has no competition at all.
What we need is more awareness on the marketing in affiliate marketing. It’s applicable to areas beyond affiliate marketing like network marketing as well, which is why it’s such a useful skill to learn.
