• 101 Articles in One Day?

I just saw this and had to post about it. It’s pretty insane.

I’ve never seen this guy’s blog before but was pointed to it via a current warrior forum thread that is quite amusing in itself (Article Marketing Challenge – the poster challenged people to write 700 articles in 7 days!).

So someone linked to this guy’s blog:
    http://mikeiser.com/day-158-wrote-101-articles-today

It looks like he writes 30-100 or more articles per day on many days. That particular post shows screenshots of his 101 articles (yeah it could have been fabricated but I have a feeling it’s for real).

So where does writing that many articles get you? Judging from his stats and earnings updates he isn’t earning much at all despite all this hard work. That’s because he is not leveraging his articles. He’s simply submitting them (all I assume to article directories), then they sink off the page and he has to continually repeat the process.

I don’t see that as the right way of using article marketing. He would be better off submitting 10-20 articles per day, building a few links to them AND using the rest for his own websites.

I don’t doubt the guy’s work ethic and discipline, I wish I could focus for that long, but I feel sorry for him because he could be earning so much more.

    • Interestingly enough, I have written 111 articles in one day before, and I’ve written 1,234 articles in a month before. However, it is not easy and the 111 articles was literally at 22 hour deal, not to mention that I had all the word files, titles, and some notes in each file already completed before I started. I suppose if someone was writing the same topic over-and-over again it is possible, but still, consistently as in for a week? Doubtful. I work extremely hard and often have put in 100-hour weeks writing, but 700 in a week, I’ve never done, and not trying to brag, but I am pretty frigging good at writing articles after some 19,000 completed. None with derivative software.

How do You build back links to your articles???

    • After over 1,300 articles submitted to article directories (800 under my name and hundreds of others under pen names) I can tell you that trying to focus solely on quantity does not get you nearly as far as producing quality content on your own blog.

I really admire the guy’s work ethic, but part of succeeding online is working smart in addition to working hard!
